LOGGAL OYA PHASE -1 HYDRO POWER PROJECT (1.6MW)

Located in Badulla District, UVA Province in Sri Lanka, This is the latest addition to our portfolio of projects in year 2017.It is just downstream of Loggal oya phase 2 project owned by Parent Company. The project involved constructing a head race channel in a very high gradient land (45 degree) and also includes an aqua-duct section which is app. 16m above ground level. 3 units of Francis turbines (made in China) is used to generate a combined electrical power output of 1,600kW.

This project is a clear example of value engineering expertise of our engineering team. The total construction cost (2016-2017) was USD 2.2Mn, reflecting a per MW cost of USD 1.44Mn, being lowest during the sated period in Sri Lanka for a hydro plant of this scale.
